Shawano, Wisconsin - With another victory on Sunday, Gabby wins the 2006 Stars of Karting East Coast division Title and an all-expense paid trip to a 2007 IRL race for him and a parent courtesy of King Taco where he will have the chance to meet series principals Bobby Rahal and Bryan Herta.

A six-kart lead draft took off at the beginning of the 8-lap Prefinal with Karam in the top spot followed by Chaves, Pigot, Sebastian Ordonez (Juncos), Calderon, and Nick Neri (Shockwave). As the leaders battled hard, the pack grew to nine with the addition of Cody Humphries (KRT), Andrew Murray (Birel) and Tyler Thomas (Topkart).
Chaves continued to lead until Ordonez took the point with one lap to go. In the final corners, Chaves moved back to P1 and took the Prefinal win with Ortega moving to second. Neri finished third with Ordonez dropping to fourth and Karam rounding out the top five ahead of Calderon.
The 12-lap Cadet Final was a mad dash every lap as the drivers never settled back, going hard at each other in every turn. At one point, the lead draft was 10 deep as they swarmed around the 1-mile circuit. In the end, Chaves took the win and the unofficial Eastern Championship.
